Sophia Hutchins, longtime manager and close friend of Caitlyn Jenner, has died at the age of 29 following a tragic all-terrain vehicle accident near Malibu.
The fatal crash occurred Wednesday when Hutchins’ ATV collided with a moving vehicle on a winding stretch of Pacific Coast road.
According to reports, the impact sent Hutchins’ vehicle over the edge of the roadway, causing it to plunge roughly 350 feet into a steep ravine.
Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, but despite their efforts, Hutchins was pronounced dead.
Officials confirmed that the two occupants of the other vehicle involved were unharmed.
It is currently unknown whether Jenner, 75, was at home or witnessed the incident.
Ms Hutchins, a Pepperdine University graduate with a degree in economics and finance, had recently begun her gender transition when she met Jenner. The two reportedly connected through a shared hairdresser.
In 2017, Hutchins moved into Jenner’s $3.5 million Malibu home and began managing her career.
Rumors of a romantic relationship circulated, but both women insisted their bond was a close friendship and professional partnership.
“We were never romantically involved,” Hutchins told The New York Times in 2019.
“I don’t feel a need to address my sex life, quite frankly, unless I want to,” she added when asked about the speculation.
Hutchins maintained a cordial relationship with the Kardashian family, stating she was particularly close with Kris, Kim, Kylie, and Kendall.
She frequently appeared on Jenner’s docuseries I Am Cait, a Keeping Up With the Kardashians spin-off chronicling Jenner’s gender transition.
Hutchins was also politically active, openly supporting President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
In an Instagram post last year, she shared a photo of herself standing in front of an American flag alongside President Trump, writing: “The energy, passion, and commitment for our movement to Save America has never been greater! We will never give up.”
